Jose Luis Martinez began his career in the Miami modeling/talent industry as an agent for models and actors. After moving to Los Angeles, Jose Luis spent the better part of four years on a motion picture desk at International Creative Management (ICM) one of the leading “power brokers” in the Motion Picture Production Department, which represents award winning below-the-line talent. Jose Luis recently moved back to Miami to work on co-writing an adapted feature screenplay from a best selling Spanish language novella. During this time he also worked in the Director’s office of the Miami International Film Festival, helping to plan and produce the 25th anniversary edition of the Festival; an eleven day event that featured world premieres and A-list stars. He went on to direct business development for Seven Bar Foundation, a 501(c)3 which launched a global philanthropic brand for microfinance via marquee fashion shows in Miami and New York. Jose Luis is currently the Creative Director at the Miami World Cinema Center (MWCC), the first non-profit movie studio, developing and enhancing the art of filmmaking and moving images in Miami. Jose Luis is a native of Miami and fluent in English and Spanish. He graduated cum laude from the University of Miami’s School of Communication with a double major in Motion Pictures and Theater Arts.
